      This bar seems to operate under 2 names. Either way, we had good drinks here and had the chance to rest a bit after walking around. Small crowd mid-afternoon and there was a friendly bar tender offering some information about the community.

We talked for hours, a mix of nervous laughter and surprisingly deep confessions about the challenges and joys of navigating the world as part of the LGBT community, finding common ground despite our different backgrounds, his easy confidence melting away my anxiety. As the night ended, and we stood on the edge of the rooftop, holding hands like teenagers, I knew that he felt it too: a connection deeper than the skyline, a promise of a future where being ourselves wasn't something to be afraid of.
